Can you supply the Dawn Clock to Veterans?

Yes, eligible Veterans can be prescribed the Dawn Clock through the DVA(RAP) scheme. For further information see our: DVA (RAP) schedule page

Does the Dawn Clock™ have a warranty?

Yes! The Dawn Clock™ has a 3 year warranty and a replacement guarantee. If for some reason your clock has an issue that we can't fix remotely, we will happily replace for you and dispatch within 24 hours.

 

Do I have to change the Dawn Clock™ time manually for daylight savings? 

Yes you will. As the Dawn Clock™ is not connected to wifi you will need to manually change the time to suit daylight savings changes.

Thankfully it is a simple update!

Step 1. Press menu on the back of the clock
Step 2.
Autumn - Daylight savings ending
- Press the OK button then the down button once on the back of the clock (time goes back an hour)
Spring - Daylight savings starting - Press the OK button then the up button once on the back of the clock (time goes forward an hour)
Step 3. Press menu on the back of the clock to return to the main screen

Note: Sometimes you may end up with the "Now it's" mode on the main screen. Just press the OK button to toggle between "time/day/date" and the "Now Its" mode.

 

Is the Dawn Clock™ difficult to setup?

When you plug your Dawn Clock™ in, the screen will automatically turn on and show the current day, date and time. The time is set to AEDT however if you are in a different timezone it is simple to change thanks to its user friendly design.

Do you have a Seniors Card holder discount?

We accept Seniors Card and Seniors Business Discount Cards Australia-wide. Please refer to your relevant state for a unique discount code. To verify the discount - all cardholders are required to provide their Seniors Card number at the online checkout.

Can you tell me how the 14 x reminders work?

The programmed reminder will show on screen with an alarm that will sound for 50 seconds at the designated time and then turn off on its own, or you can turn it off by simply pressing any button on the back of the clock.

The reminder options are:

  • NO MESSAGE (just sound) or your choice of a text alert on screen accompanied by an alarm sound such as:
  • TIME FOR YOUR MEDICATION,
  • MORNING MEDICATION TIME,
  • AFTERNOON MEDICATION TIME,
  • EVENING MEDICATION TIME,
  • NIGHT MEDICATION TIME,
  • TIME FOR BREAKFAST,
  • TIME FOR LUNCH,
  • TIME FOR DINNER,
  • TIME TO GET DRESSED,
  • TIME TO SHOWER,
  • CHECK YOUR DIARY,
  • DRINK SOME WATER,
  • TIME TO GO TO BED or
  • TIME FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT

You can set the frequency of your reminders to go off on a recurring basis. This can be OFF, ONCE, EVERYDAY, MON-FRI or WEEKENDS. The frequency applies to all reminders excluding the TIME FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT reminder as it is calender date/time based.

These alarms help to assist carers with the most common frustrations for people living Alzheimer's Disease & Dementia, as well as allow the person to live more independently and most importantly with dignity. This functionality is not only useful for people living with Dementia but also has proven useful for the Aspect, visually impaired and people living with a disability.

What sounds accompany the reminders?

The programmed reminder will show on screen with an alarm that will sound for 50 seconds at the designated time and then turn off on its own, or you can turn it off by simply pressing any button on the back of the clock.

You can choose to set up to x 14 reminders for different times, with messages and sounds.

The sound options are:

  • Trill
  • Bell
  • Music
  • Beat
  • Chime

The volume options range from 1 being the lowest 5 being the highest.

Can I manually create my own text for reminders?

Unfortuanetly no as all reminders are pre-programmed at this stage. You can only select from the reminder options as per below. Some customers utilise a day diary in accordance with the "Check your diary" reminder to allow for varied appointments.

Is the Dawn Clock™ just for people living with Dementia?

The Dawn Clock is for anyone who feels they can benefit from it and is not limited to people living with Dementia. We have had great feedback from mothers who have a child living with Autism through to shift workers. Our clock can also be useful for the vision impaired and people living with a disability. The Dawn Clock™ is extensively used in hospitals, aged care facilities, Doctors surgery's and home care services.

How long will my delivery take?

We dispatch from Newcastle NSW usually within 24 hours. When your order is dispatched, you will receive an email with a tracking link. Delivery times depending on your location. Where can I find my Tax Invoice for my order?

Simply open your Order Confirmation Email and scroll down to the clickable link "Download a PDF of your Tax Invoice Here". This will take you to a printable PDF that can be used for your records.

I have just placed an order online under the NDIS Plan Managed option. Do I need to send the invoice to my Plan Manager myself?

Yes please! We will send you a downloadable PDF of your Tax Invoice with the Order Confirmation email. This can be saved and sent via email or printed and posted to your Plan Manager. Dawn Clocks does not send a copy to your Plan Manager.

What is your returns policy?

As we are an Australian business you can be assured that are covered by Australian Consumer Law. If our clock fails to meet our consumer guarantee, you have the right to ask for a repair, replacement or refund. We do not accept change of mind returns.

How is the Dawn Clock™ powered?

The Dawn Clock™ is wall powered. Unfortunately battery replacement can prove difficult for most people living with Dementia and Alzheimer's Disease. The cord is 180cm long.

All clocks come with a compatible power cord for the country of purchase.

What happens if there is a power outage?

When power is restored, the Dawn Clock™ will turn itself back on including all of the programmed reminders you have set.

What are the dimensions of the Dawn Clock™?

Clock Dimensions - 215mm wide x 170mm high. Screen Dimensions - 160mm wide x 120mm high The day of the week writing is 23mm high. The time is 35mm high. The date which is the smallest writing is 9mm high.

What languages are available?

The Dawn Clock™ has 8 language options for the main screen and menu: English, François (French), Deutsch (German), Nederlands (Dutch), Italiano (Italian), Polski (Polish), Español (Spanish) or Cymraeg (Welsh). Currently the reminders are in English only.
